MARKET UPDATE ON dataZOEK™ Automating Data Abstraction
We are proud to announce that dataZOEK is featured in Synoptic Pathology Data Extraction for SNOMED CT Coding, an accepted abstract for the 2018 Annual ASCO Conference occurring June 1st – June 4th in Chicago, IL.
dataZOEK was used to transform historical breast cancer patient pathology records from PDFs to text. This automated the process of capturing choice data elements and transforming them to SNOMED codes for easy reporting. By abstracting these data elements and formally encoding them, physicians can easily access the data for enhancing patient care and catalyzing new discoveries.
In partnership with a large urology practice, dataZOEK was used to successfully identify high risk, metastatic prostate cancer patients in a fast and efficient manner with high accuracy. Without dataZOEK, finding these patients would be a manual, time intensive process. By identifying these patients early, physicians can follow up in a timely manner and assess the patients’ needs for early intervention to improve treatment regimens and patient quality of life.
