Job Description – Director, Channel Development

saleSEER™ provides sales, technology, and consulting services supporting the commercialization of clinical data and technology. We specialize in Oncology. We sell clinical data, ClinicalPathways, dataZOEK™, Datavant de-identification software and services. Current clients include Pharma, Biotechs, Data Aggregators, CRO’s, Distributors, GPO’s, Academic Institutions, Consulting and Analytic Firms.

Position Description

The Director of Channel Development will have responsibility for data sales and support to Consulting firms, Analytics companies, and other 3rd party influencers and/or resellers of clinical data.

  • Sales shall include: lead generation, lead qualification, proposal development, contract negotiation, and contract close for data sales.

  • Understand the client’s strategic business objectives and present saleSEER data assets that align with meeting client requirements.

  • Ability to initiate and develop strong Partner and client relationships built upon trust and exceptional client service.

  • Sales management including timely administration and reporting of all sales activity in SugarCRM.

  • Position includes 25% business travel for relationship development, onsite sales and client deliverable support.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required experience and attributes:

  • ​Successful track record of direct and/or channel sales preferably to academic, IDN, and healthcare practices

  • 5 years sales experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability in prospecting new clients, developing relationships and successfully bringing the client through the sale cycle to closure

  • Strong history of successful relationship management with clients leading to incremental sales

  • Healthcare industry business acumen required

  • Technical and/or clinical data knowledge strongly preferred

  • Clinical data knowledge and experience is preferred but not required

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Works well in a team, exhibits professionalism and flexibility in all interactions

  • Must possess a strong desire to provide the exceptional customer service

  • Ability to travel as necessary

  • Minimum of a 4-year college degree required

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
