Position Overview
We’re seeking a high-impact Vice President of Sales to lead and scale our revenue organization. This is a pivotal executive role responsible for defining and executing our go-to-market (GTM) strategy across products and customer segments. You’ll build a best-in-class sales team, develop enterprise relationships, and play a critical role in shaping our growth trajectory in the oncology and clinical data landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on enterprise and
strategic accounts
- Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous learning
- Establish performance metrics, compensation plans, and development paths to drive
retention and results
- Lead regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and strategic deal coaching sessions
Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement a scalable GTM strategy life sciences companies
- Align sales efforts with marketing, product, and executive teams to ensure cohesive
messaging and market positioning
- Launch and optimize sales playbooks, vertical strategies, and segment-specific
approaches
Enterprise Sales Execution
- Personally engage with key accounts to build credibility, close strategic deals, and
remove obstacles
- Navigate complex sales cycles involving legal, IT, compliance, and procurement
stakeholders
- Guide pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and value-based selling
Revenue Operations & Forecasting
- Own forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting for executive
leadership
- Leverage data and analytics to refine team performance, optimize sales processes, and
improve conversion rates
- Utilize tools to support a modern sales organization (CRM, enablement platforms,
analytics)
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
- Recruit and ramp a high-performing enterprise sales team
- Close strategic deals with the top 5 life sciences organizations
- Launch a repeatable sales process that drives 2x YoY revenue growth
- Establish a forecasting model with >90% predictability
- Collaborate with leadership to refine product-market fit and market expansion plans
Qualifications
- 10+ years in enterprise B2B sales, with 5+ years in sales leadership roles
- Proven success in healthcare data, RWD/RWE, clinical software, or adjacent verticals
(biotech, pharma, digital health)
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling GTM functions in early-to-growth-stage
environments
- Expert in complex enterprise sales with long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder buying
groups
- Familiarity with data privacy and compliance in healthcare (HIPAA, de-ID, GDPR)
- Analytical, results-driven, and highly organized, with strong communication and
negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
