POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an individual that thrives in a small company environment and has a strong desire to build the business to join our team as VP, Data Strategy & Partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing our data portfolio by identifying and signing unique or new-to-market data suppliers, ensuring that our data portfolio reflects the needs of the multiple client segments that we serve, and main mutually beneficial partnerships with our data suppliers.
At SALESEER, our partnerships are multi-faceted relationships based upon our sell with, sell to, and sell through approach. Through this lens, we look for opportunities to commercialize data including the co-development of unique products and services with our partners. In this highly agile role, you will have the opportunity to address market needs and work toward bringing new products to life. This is a key role on a highly collaborative team of experienced data professionals with strong clinical depth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, help define strategic direction and initiatives for the company
- Lead data strategy for the company
- Identify, recruit, and close multi-year agreements with data suppliers
- Day to day responsibility for the business relationship with Data Partners
- Develop and expand partner relationships including leading new co-developed products
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and deliver data education and support for sales as it relates to selecting the right data source by use case and the positioning of data partners within the Life Sciences client base
- Work closely with the Operations team in support of data quality and readiness, customer satisfaction, and development of new sales opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master degree in business or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous success in managing technology or data partners on a US or global scale
- Experience with life sciences clients, the healthcare industry, and medical communities required
- Thorough knowledge of the clinical data business as it relates to Life Sciences
- Sales, marketing, data product development, and financial management experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, CRM systems, and analytics tools
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Full-time position
- Hybrid and remote work options may be available
- Travel up to 25% for industry conferences, partner meetings, and client meetings with occasional international travel required
